WHAT WE DID NEXT
Founder Jordan Taylor began his VAMP journey in 2018, cleaning shoes out of his bedroom in Brixton, starting with his cousin’s shoes on New Year’s Day of 2019. Fast-forward one year to the first VAMP shop launch in Brixton on March 7th, 2019. By 2020, VAMP had secured an investment and had begun partnering with several entities.
WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT
Today, VAMP is synonymous with sustainable sneaker-cleaning and is a staple of the Brixton community, and beyond. Through environmental advocacy and community outreach, VAMP weaves together a message of sustainability and community empowerment. To that end, VAMP uses plant-based, non-toxic cleaning products in its steam-cleaning process that reduces water consumption. VAMP also works with Re:Sole, a non-profit organization that provides refreshed sneakers to the homeless and at-risk people, and Cenethics, an organization dedicated to empowering communities of diverse ethnicities.
WHAT NEXT?
But Taylor’s not stopping there, with plans to make VAMP services available in wider markets, VAMP has partnered with the largest European sneaker retailer BSTN, multi-brand store Concept, and iconic lifestyle brand Axel Arigato.
There’s more coming, so stay tuned!
